Maine author Betty Culley visited Caribou Community School on Friday, April 26 along with local community members to celebrate the middle-level community book read of “Three Things I Know Are True”. Listening to Betty tell her story of being a writer and then visiting workshop sessions hosted by community guests made for an exciting day of learning. Special thanks to all of our guests; Alison Kieffer, Jesse Cote, Wendy Page, Jesse Belanger, Mindy Morneault, Detectives Adam Bell and Hunter Cotton, Trooper Ted Martin, Mena Irving, Meagan Irving, Dave Rhinebolt, Tyler Hews, and JMG students Landyn Waldemarson and Lizzy Wing for sharing their expertise with us. Betty also gifted each middle-level student with a free book to enjoy to foster a love of reading…and writing.
